The following are reviews I wrote on Amazon through their Vine reviewer program. I more skimmed these books than read them, but I thought some of you might find these reviews interesting:

4.0 out of 5 stars Thought provoking!October 24, 2014
This review is from: When God Becomes Small (Paperback)
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
Our culture is preoccupied with, as the workout routine I did in high school was entitled, "bigger, faster, and stronger". Our churches have adopted this motto as a measure of church health. In this fine little book, Phil Needham challenges his readers to rethink the power of small, and what that might mean for what God is doing in the church. What if God was in the small stuff, and not just the big stuff? What if the baby steps mattered as much as the leaps of faith? What if God calls us to small acts of service with great love (to borrow a phrase from Mother Theresa?). It is these kinds of things that WHEN GOD BECOMES SMALL challenges us to consider.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
Ray Waddle has spent his life as a religion journalist. In his journey he was able to see a lot of moving stories of faith. and also other things that aroused doubt and concern about the world of religious persons in America and around the world. Each chapter in this book gathers stories of glimpses or windows to faith in people and windows into the work and person of the Almighty. Many of these opportunities and experience God leave questions as well as answers. Even more though, it the midst of it all, we cannot escape God's presence.

5.0 out of 5 stars smart, and serious punchOctober 23, 2014
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
This is a small cute little book that packs a really valuable, smart, and serious punch. Readers will enjoy the frequent drawings and calligraphy that makes the whole book more beautiful. Bible students eager to understand all of Scriptures imagery of the vine and its fruit will also gain much from having this book and reading it. Also, the mentoring relationships that frame this story are equally compelling. I wish I could buy more copies of this fine book and give it to friends.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
This is a wonderful little book. THE BOOK OF NOT SO COMMON PRAYER is based on the thoughts and story of Linda McCullough Moore. It is a well-written text asking the question of how one balances regular times of prayer as a discipline with continuously practicing the presence of God. Moore has great insights, great answers that have worked for her, and she balances this with humor and grace. GET THIS BOOK.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
Everything seems to be coming together for the Whitman's. They are empty-nesters, and are feeling good about heading into retirement. As a matter of fact, they have a bed and breakfast project they are working on, and have put most of their savings into. It is a dream come true. And just when everything seems to be going according to plan....their newly married daughter comes home...alone. What happened? Are Whitman's going to lose everything trying to manage their family issues? And so the story begins, with lots of twists and turns. A quick, easy read that gives the reader something to think about.
