Some days
I feel
proud
to be
me
I feel
like
a
precious
stone
Valuable
Substantive
Worthy of
being
worth something
Other days
I feel
embarrassed
to be
me
I feel
like a
contagious, ugly
terminal
affliction
Needing to
be
quarantined
on a
stony desolate
island
In between days
I hope
for
a coming
together
Of my
hopes and dreams
with my
faults
and fears
That all
will be
beautifully salvaged
with
nothing wasted
