Those Brits and their accents can say anything and it is amusing (that's what I credit Ricky Gervais' success on, anyway).
I watched that Press Conference, his "injury" had the entire room buzzing, several U.S. news media reporters even questioned the nature of the injury. One of them after discovering that it was Ash Wednesday made the comment, "at least he could have wiped it off prior to the conference, it was very distracting". Then they question why we often question the facts of their reporting.
