Love is A Flame, the moment you recieve it, is different than you expect. Although not a bad book, it will be helpful for you to read a review before you purchase the book on false pretenses.
When I chose to review this book, I chose the book because it had Gary Chapman's name at the top. Gary Chapman has written many books on love. Most well known of his books is the book The Five Love Languages. Little did I know that the large name where the author's name should be was actually the person who wrote the forward, not the person who wrote or compiled the book. Actually, the book has very little to do with Gary Chapman. Instead it is a compilation of how people have worked their way through marriage for the long term.
This book, if I were to summarize it, is Chicken Soup for the Married Soul. It is all about how committed love between two people can overcome all sorts of obstacles. The stories are compiled by James Stuart Bell. Each chapter is about 2-5 and written by real people who share their true life stories of love. Nearly each story has a challenge that the couple had to overcome, and a brief narrative about how they got through it. The stories can be read at once, or slowly for a little inspiration over time. They might even be good for a couple to read together and then discuss.
I think this book is a good book for the right person. I will probably give it as a gift to a married woman in my church, or as an "extra" gift for someone getting married. I would not recommend it to someone who does not read romance novels.
This book was given to me for free in exchange for an honest review
