Quotes from Don Miller's SEARCHING FOR GOD KNOWS WHAT

The Gospel of Jesus: It was never a formula (151)

I have sometimes wondered if the greatest desire of man is to be known and loved anyway. (133)

Jesus loves the church. And I suppose he loves the church with the same strength of character he displays in his love for me. Sometimes it is difficult to know which is the greater miracle. (151)

Good post -- while reading, I was thinking about my spirituality and all the while hoping I'm not trying to serve two masters. I definitely love the LORD who is always in my thoughts, but I also constantly struggle with temptation. However, in my mind He continues to work with me.

I too am always struggling with temptation. I know there are things I should not do because they are not good for me. I know the Lord is trying to whisper in my ear, "Don't do that." but, I still sometimes turn away and mess up. Most all the time though, I learn from my mistakes and I am sorry that I didn't listen in the first place. I'm just forever grateful that the Lord is forgiving and loving. If not, I would have been struck with a lightning bolt long long ago.
