It just makes sense to invite God into our lives
You can never be a follower of Christ and think you are doing a good job
As a Christian, I feel very shut out by a lot of contemporary Christianity
In the Gospels, the only people who are subject to God's wrath are self-satisfied religious leaders....if I had to characterize mainstream Christianity in the United States, I would say it's self satisfied.
The idea makes me uncomfortable--the idea of didactically trying to get someone to believe what I believe.
(In response to Christians taking offense at Janet Jackson's bare breast in the Super Bowl:)
"Why not be offended by the Super Bowl? Why not be offended by the crass commercialism...why not be offended that grown men beat the shit out of each other and get paid $15 million a year, while school teachers in the inner-city get $24,000 a year. That's offensive. If we are going to start talking about things that are offensive, a bare breast is at the bottom of the list."
It just makes sense to invite God into our lives and ask Him, "You made me, what should I be doing."
INTERESTING FACTOID: Did you know Moby is a direct decendant of Herman Melville? Thus the name--from Moby Dick.
HE WHO LOVES NOT WOMEN, WINE, AND SONG.... REMAINS A FOOL HIS WHOLE LIFE LONG---- MARTIN LUTHER
