You know you are getting to be an old youth pastor when

1. Your high school youth are born the year you graduated from high school.

2. Your middle schoolers were born the same year you graduated from college

3. The young adults in your church were enering kindergarten when you were entering college.

4. The youth refer the music you grew up on as "CLASSIC"

I sing with the praise band for the youth group at my church. Last month the leader told the kids we were going to do some classic praise songs. The were all published when I was in the '90's. THAT'S NOT CLASSIC! Classic in my life should at least be earlier than '86. That's at least grade school then. Good grief.

I know how you feel, my daughters make me feel old, in fact, they say so. Hey, you are very insightful pastor. Your comments(my blog) were right on, I feel almost transparent!

Well, most of the kids I had in youth group are now married with kids.

But hey... if you listen to Matisyahu, that's got to be worth something!
