Ruthless Trust Quotes by Brennan Manning

The way of trust is a movement into obscurity, into the undefined, into ambiguity, not some predetermined, clearly defined and delineated plan for the future (12)

To live without risk is to risk not living (21).

Only the disciple with unflinching trust in God will dare to risk (21)

We need only to know who and what we really are to break into spontaneous praise and thanksgiving

Love Brennan Manning! . I remember reading "Lion and Lamb" and hardly being able to keep reading because it just cut to my core.
Good quotes.

How can only disciples of god risk? That seems a bit weird to me.

Yeah....I read this and thought...I wonder how San Nakji is going to hear this quote. Almost left it out for that reason. But since I was transcribing a sheet of quotes I thought it would be dishonest to leave it out.

I think the context was within the Christian community with this quote now that I think about it more. The difference between those who ruthlessly trust God (disciples) and those who just look at their Christian faith as a set of rules or good ideas.

Only those who believe enough to truly trust in that context will be able to have a faith that has courage and takes risks.
